Ashley Maready is a dedicated content professional who brings a clear and readable voice to everything she writes or edits. Before changing careers in 2021, she spent 12 years working for nonprofit history, art, and STEM-focused museums, starting as a collections and conservation manager and finishing as an executive director.
Ashley now uses her experience with communicating new ideas to the general public to educate others about personal finance. Her biggest money mistake was buying a home when she was in her 20s and had no savings – she had to go through a short sale that tanked her credit and she never thought she’d own a home again.
Her journey to a better financial situation began in 2020, when she paid off her student loans. She worked extra hours to pay off the rest of her debt in 2022, and began saving to buy a house again, achieving this goal in 2024. “If I could improve my finances, anyone can. I can teach you how to pay off debt, boost your credit, and make money moves to improve your future.”
